Shirley Jean (Beddow) O'Tool

Shirley Jean Beddow was born on July 31, 1931, at Ruthven, Iowa, the daughter of Fay and Blanche (Bigger) Beddow. She graduated from Jolley High School in 1949, and was united in marriage with Ardell Francis O'Tool on November 24, 1949, at Pomeroy, Iowa. Their marriage was blessed with six children: Debra, Cheryl, Steve, Barbara, Jeff, and Michael. Together they farmed in the Pomeroy area for several years.
Shirley is survived by her children Deb Ditzenberger of Pella, IA; Cheryl (Larry) Peters of Pocahontas, IA; Steve O'Tool of Osceola, IA; Jeff (Susan) O'Tool of Pomeroy, IA; Michael (Jennifer) O'Tool of Grimes, IA; grandchildren Abby Hernandez, Austin Zinnel, Aaron O'Tool, Joshua O'Tool, Samantha O'Tool, Breanna Chapman, Jesse O'Tool, Anna O'Tool, Nathaniel O'Tool; and eight great grandchildren; sister Darlene (Darwin) Rummel of Urbandale, IA; and sister-in-law Janis Beddow of Little Rock, AR. she was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Ardell in 1997; daughter Barbara; sisters and brothers-in-law Margie and Larry Hooker and Bonnie and Alan Siefken; brothers Richard, Darrell and Larry Beddow; and son-in-law Doyle Ditzenberger.
