Ryan Scott McCaulley, 44, of Fort Dodge, formerly of Manson, passed away July 23, 2022. A Celebration of Ryan’s Life will be 3 pm Saturday, July 30, 2022 in the chapel of Larson-Weishaar Funeral Home in Manson. A visitation gathering with the family will be from 1-3 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
Ryan is survived by his mother, Shari McCaulley of Manson; sisters, Stacy McCaulley of Carroll, Kelli (Nick) Schulz of Carroll, and Sarah (Josh) Niemand of Duncombe; along with nieces, nephews, aunts, including special aunt, Shirley, and uncles. Ryan Scott McCaulley, the son of John and Shari (Nehring) McCaulley, was born October 26, 1977, at Pocahontas, Iowa. He was raised with his three sisters at Manson where he received his education. In high school, Ryan participated in cross-country and track, going to State in both sports. He also enjoyed swimming, volleyball, and taught himself the sport of tennis in which he excelled, playing in tournaments and later for Buena Vista University. In 1996, Ryan graduated from Manson Northwest Webster as a member of the National Honor Society. He attended Buena Vista University in Storm Lake graduating in 2000 with a bachelor’s degree in business & Finance. Following his education, he worked for Tyson Foods in Sioux City. He then made his home in Pittsburg, St. Louis, and Altoona where he was employed by Meredith Publishing Corporation as a business manager. Ryan eventually returned to make his home at Manson and Fort Dodge to be closer to his family.
Ryan loved his family and friends and especially enjoyed time spent with his nieces and nephews. They will always remember his witty humor, contagious smile, and kind heart. He is survived by his mother, Shari McCaulley of Manson; sisters, Stacy McCaulley of Carroll, Kelli (Nick) Schulz of Carroll, and Sarah (Josh) Niemand of Duncombe; nieces and nephews, Ben and Brooke Stangl, Jack Schulz, and Drake and Charlotte Niemand; his special aunt, Shirley; and other aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, John, his uncle Gary and his grandparents.
