Phyllis L Dohrmann

Phyllis L. Dohrmann, 83, of Manson passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at Friendship Haven in Fort Dodge. A private family service will be held at a later date at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Manson. Arrangements have been entrusted with Larson-Weishaar Funeral Home in Manson.

Phyllis was born on October 19, 1939, to J.K. and Beulah (Bige) Ratcliff. She grew up in Webster City and Eagle Grove where she graduated from High School in 1958. She was united in marriage to Wayne Frederick Dohrmann on July 18, 1959, in Latimer, IA. They lived in Waverly, IA and then moved to Manson in 1961 where they made their home. She was a longtime member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church where she was part of the St. Paul’s Ladies Circle. In Waverly she worked at a children’s home and then for Dohrmann Insurance Agency in Manson and KRIT Radio Station in Fort Dodge. She also enjoyed working on the Red Cross Blood Drives. She was a lifelong crafter and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Phyllis is survived by her sons Dennis Dohrmann of Waukee, IA and Scott Dohrmann of Madison, TN; grandchildren Jared, Sydney, and Justin Dohrmann; her siblings Vern (Viola) Ratcliff, Bruce (Barb) Ratcliff and Linda (Tom) Devitt. She was preceded in death by her husband Wayne; her parents J.K. and Beulah Ratcliff and her sister Carolyn Sanders.
