Marliss Nissen Obituary

Marliss Dorothy Peters was born on March 17, 1932, near Manson, the daughter of Gerd and Henrietta (Dornath) Peters. After graduating from Manson High School in 1950, she was united in marriage with Bentley Nissen on Oct. 15, 1950, at St. John Lutheran Church, Lizard Township. She worked at North American Golf in Manson, and later she and Ben did janitorial work together at the Manson High School, as well as the Manson Post Office.
Marliss is survived by her daughter-in-law Laurie Nissen of Manson, IA; sons Ron (Lettie) Nissen of Ft. Dodge, IA; Ric (Elizabeth) Nissen of Manson, IA; eight grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; brother Corliss (Glenda) Peters of Casper, WY; sister Carolyn Cirks of Manson, IA.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Bentley; daughter Cheryl Reed; son David; grandson Brett; great granddaughter Ambriel Koop; brother Donald Peters; sister Elaine Lawrence.
