Marjorie Mae (Carlson) Post was born on a farm near Pocahontas, Iowa, on May 18, 1928, to Fred and Inez (Crouse) Carlson. Marjorie graduated from Pocahontas High School in 1946.
On October 11, 1951, she married Arthur Post in Pomeroy, Iowa. After living in Havelock for a short time, they moved to the Albert Post farm in rural Gilmore City. There they lived, farmed and raised their four children. Art and Marge enjoyed travelling south, wintering in Texas for a few years and many years in Arizona. Art died in January 2011, and their son Kendal in 1975. Marge enjoyed her grandchildren, crocheting, and her flower gardens.
Marjorie is survived by her children Roger (Rhonda) Post; Linda (Keith) Post Cueno; and Randal (Ann) Post; six grandchildren; six step grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren.
A time of fellowship and lunch will be held immediately following the funeral service before going to the cemetery.
