Mardella Bohn, 91 of Manson, IA, passed into the heavenly realm on Monday, April 1, 2024, at the Good Samaritan Society in Manson. A private family service will be held at a later date.
Mardella Irene Bohn was born January 1, 1933, at home on the rural Calhoun County farm, to Albert Bohn and Katheryn (Boshart) Bohn. After graduating from Manson High School, Mardella spent a good portion of her young life as an assistant to her older sister Delores (Bohn) Martenez, serving as a missionary, teaching children from Mexico and southern Texas about Jesus. Her later years were spent back in Manson, helping her parents tend to the farm. She was a resident of the Good Samaritan Society in Manson, for the last few years of her life. Mardella will always be remembered as a quiet, gentle soul. Many may recall her wonderful poems and stories she would share.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Albert and Katheryn Bohn, her sister Delores (Bohn) Martenez, her brother and his wife Merlin and Shirley Bohn and an infant sister Dorothy Bohn. She will be joining several family members who have already passed.
She leaves behind three nieces, six great nephews and six great-great nieces and nephews.
Farewell Aunt Della, we shall see you soon.
