Lorie Jane Parks was born on October 8, 1939, at Spencer Iowa, the daughter of Clarence and Mildred (Flipsey) Parks. After graduating from Spencer High School in 1958, she was united in marriage with Gary W. Lee on August 16, 1958, at Concordia, Canada. She then received her training as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She worked for more than 35 years as a CNA, until she injured her back at work and was no longer able to perform those duties. Although she left her job as CNA, her love for people never went away. Lorie loved being with her friends, playing bingo, cards, and going to the casino. She dreamed of traveling to places she has never been and helping children.
She is survived by her son Marc Lee of Cheyenne, WY; daughters Monica (Roger) Hansen of Cheyenne, WY; Mychel Ball of Fort Dodge, IA; Marta Peck of Cheyenne, WY; grandchildren Kristopher, Samantha, Micheal, Dominic, Takota, Nicholai, Cody, Morgan; great grandchildren Aveya, Ryan, Ambriel, and Oenomaus; brother Frank Parks of Spencer, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Gary; grandson Matthew Ball; as well as her two brothers Harold and Leslie and five sisters Lucille, Margaret, Wava, and Charlene.
