Larry Dean Birkey, 68, of Manson, passed away Saturday, September 19 at his home. He was much loved and will be remembered for his love of his family, motorcycles, golf and mostly just having a great time being around his family and friends.
Born to Elmer and Hazel Birkey of Manson, Larry graduated from Manson High School in 1969 and enlisted in the Air Force. He was stationed in Mississippi, Texas, and London, England before finishing his military service in Omaha. He then worked many years as an over-the-road truck driver until his retirement.
Larry is survived by his daughter Jayci and husband Craig, Morrison, Colo.; son Corey and wife Erin, Barnum; grandchildren Kadin, Kierra, Odyssey, Kamden, Kylea and Kolyns; stepsons Aaron and Logan Keyser and their families; and sister Sandy, Denver., Colo.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Shirley.
An informal visitation will be held from 2-5pm on Saturday, September 26 at the Manson Golf Course Club House. There will be military honors provided by the Manson American Legion Post 204 at 2:00 p.m.
