Gary Gene Hoeppner of Manson, IA, passed away peacefully surrounded by his entire family at Trinity Regional Hospital in Fort Dodge, IA. Gary was born on November 11, 1955, in Fort Dodge, IA, the only child of Joe & Florence (Hokinson) Hoeppner. He graduated from Manson High School in 1974 where he was active in the FFA.
Gary married Kathy (Sullivan) Hoeppner on February 20, 1982, and they made their home in Manson. They later moved to the family farm outside of Manson in 1990 where he dedicated his time to raising his family and farming. Gary enjoyed traveling and camping, making frequent trips to Minnesota and throughout the Midwest. He farmed until his retirement in 2009 where he continued to drive his semi hauling grain for local Coops. In 2015 Gary and Kathy moved back to Manson where he was able to spend more time with his wife, kids and grandkids.
Gary is survived by his wife of 41 years, Kathy Hoeppner of Manson; daughter Christine Hoeppner of Barnum, sons Brian Hoeppner (Kayla) of Manson, and David (Lindsay) Hoeppner of Manson; grandchildren Cheyenne, Jack, Jayden, Jazzlyn, Gavin, Emma, Rylie, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.
He is preceded in death by his parents Joe and Florence Hoeppner, in-laws John & JoAnn Sullivan.
