Garry Pierson Obituary

Garry Leroy Pierson was born on March 7, 1936, in Calhoun County, Iowa, the son of Kenneth Ivan and Eleanor Ruth (Miller) Pierson. He received his formal education in Calhoun County schools. He was united in marriage with Ann Marie Junkman in Des Moines, Iowa, and was employed as a carpenter and a farmer his whole life, until retiring five years ago due to declining health.

Garry is survived by his wife Ann; daughters Deborah (David) Hallas of Badger, IA; Donna Ulrich from the state of Washington; sons Dean Pierson of Lake View, IA; and Dale (Jo) Pierson of Manson, IA; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother Mike (Pat) Pierson of Davenport, IA; and sister Sue (Al) Olsen of Bemidji, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Donald J. and Robert Dale Pierson; and sisters Virginia (Golsay) Cox; and Laurene Pierson.
