David (Dave) Clough 66, of Manson passed away unexpectedly Saturday, June 24, 2023, at the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City.
Dave is survived by the love of is life Ranae of 46 years; children, Lisa Willson of Oxford, MI; Scott (Amanda) Clough of Palo, IA; grandchildren, Audrey and Ava Clough; his mom, Donna Clough; siblings, Sheryl (Larry) Borcherding, Paula (Steve) Heimbruch, John (Nancy) Clough; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws. He was preceded, in death by his father Lawrence Clough and father in-law Ed Egli.
David Lawrence Clough was born July 12, 1956, in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He graduated from Manson High School in 1974. He was active in the FFA, band, and chorus. He attended college in Sheldon, Iowa. He married Ranae Egli (high school sweetheart) in 1976 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Manson. They lived in Manson until 1981, moved to a farm in near Palmer, and then returned to Manson. He dedicated his life to raising his family and farming. Dave also worked at the United States Postal Service as a rural mail carrier. He worked in the Palmer, Fort Dodge, and Manson offices for 29 years until retiring in 2022. Dave was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church and served on the Manson Co-op Elevator Board. He enjoyed fishing, boating, snowmobiling, and hunting with his friends and family. He also enjoyed traveling and rides around the lake with Ranae, boating and working on house projects with his daughter, fishing with his son, and reading to his granddaughters “his little girls” Audrey and Ava.
