Alene Marie Seaborg was born on February 13th, 1922, to Pete and Verna (Peterson) Seaborg in Montezuma, IA. She attended school there and graduated high school in 1940.
On March 17th, 1944, she married Richard Stewart in San Diego, CA. They were blessed with two daughters, Kathy and Donna.
Alene is survived by her husband of 76 years, Richard; daughters Kathy and her husband David Singletary, of Gilroy, CA, their two sons Daniel and Andrew and their spouses Brayden and B.J.; her daughter Donna and her husband Eddie Zehr of Manson, IA, their three children Jason and his wife Amy of Boone, IA, and their children Jackson and Joe; Erin and her husband Kerry Peterson of Palmer, IA, their son Cody; and Austin and his wife Holly, and their son Layne; Jeff and his wife Ann, their children Jorden and Alex of Manson, IA; her sister Frances Carl of Newton, IA; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and their husbands and a great granddaughter.
Alene was a homemaker. She sewed a lot for herself and her two daughters. She canned a lot and raised beautiful roses.
She was an active member for over 50 years in their Good Sheperd Lutheran Church at Gilroy, CA, where she taught Sunday school, helped with Bible school and served many years with the Ladies Guild.
She loved living in California where they resided for 56 years. She was a good wife, mother, sister, neighbor and friend.
