Patricia Ann (Krebs) Licht, 72, of Manson, IA passed away January 11th at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home in Fort Dodge with her loving family by her side.
Born November 23, 1946, in Fort Dodge, IA, she was the oldest daughter of the late Julius and Betty Krebs. Patty graduated from Northwest Webster at Barnum, IA in 1965, then attended nurses training at Saint Catherine’s in Omaha, NE and received her R.N. in 1968.
Patty married Morris Licht September 14th, 1968 at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Manson, IA. They lived in Des Moines, IA for two years, where she worked at Broadlawns Hospital. Patty and Morris moved back to farm near Manson, IA in 1970, and then moved to Clare in 1973. Later Patty became a rural mail carrier for over 20 years until she retired from the United State Postal Service in 2008. Patty and Morris retired from farming in 2010.
Patty is survived by her husband Morris of Manson, IA and their three children: Pamela Aagesen of Des Moines, IA; Amy Oehlert (Chad) of Urbandale, IA; and Anthony Licht (Gina) of Carroll, IA. She adored her seven grandchildren: Jack, Reilly, and Nicholas Aagesen; Olivia and Kaelan Oehlert; and Madeleine and Alyssa Licht. In addition, she is much loved by her surviving siblings: Brother Mike Krebs (Joyce) of Manson, IA; Madonna Miller (Neal) of Manson, IA; Joe Krebs of Milton, WI; Lisa Eischeid (Jeff) of Fort Dodge, IA; and many treasured nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Julius and Betty Krebs, and Brother Bill (William) Krebs.
Friends and family may call on Friday, January 18th from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Larson-Weishaar Funeral Home located at 1408 11th Avenue Manson, IA. A Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday the 19th at 10:30 AM at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Manson, IA. Interment is at St. Thomas Cemetery in Manson with luncheon to follow at St. Thomas Catholic Church.
