Lloyd Jacob Ort, Jr., was born in Iowa City, IA, on Sept. 13, 1941, the son of Lloyd Jacob Ort, Sr., and Rosemary Elizabeth (Hurley) Ort. After attending schools in Iowa he moved with his family to California in 1956 where he resided until six months ago, working as a self-employed carpenter. In 1964 he was united in marriage with Elaine Barbier.

Lloyd is survived by his wife Elaine; children Tammy Tagg of Manson, IA; Wendy (Greg) Rendon; Daniel Ort; and Renee (Steve) Trevino all of Colorado Springs, CO; 10 grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren; sister Joan Willey of Burlington, IA; brother Donald Ort of Sioux City, IA; sister Christine Wood of Fort Dodge, IA. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother David
