Linda Ann Whisler was born on January 19, 1946, at Cherokee, Iowa, to Loral and Effie (Snow) Whisler. Linda went Home to be with the Lord forever on September 10, 2019.
At the age of four, Linda moved to the Gilmore City area with her parents. She attended country school for two years which was at the site where Faith Community Church is now located. She graduated from Palmer High School in 1964, and worked as a secretary for a law firm.
On August 1, 1965, Linda was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart, Wilfred Rohlfs, at St. John Lutheran Church, Lizard Twp., Palmer. They were blessed with five children. Linda became a stay-at-home mom, church secretary, and eventually helped with the farm work along-side her husband. Through the years, she enjoyed gardening, serving as a Sunday School teacher, VBS and Faith Club leader, women’s church activities (especially sewing days), a women’s group officer and later worked part-time at the Journal-Herald office in Manson. She also loved music, singing in choirs and cantatas.
Linda was among the charter members of Faith Community Church and served as part-time secretary there for 30 years.
